Don’t miss out our August News Updates!
Dear Friends,
It is almost the end of Summer and I hope you have all enjoyed the season doing your favorite things. As August comes to a close, I’m excited to share the artistic milestones and achievements that have defined this vibrant month for me. It has been a period of continued creativity and some recognition, and I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to showcase my work across several platforms.
Diverse Visions- Abstract Realms : A Solo Show at Livonia Fine Arts Gallery
This month, I’ve had the honor of presenting my solo show, **“Diverse Visions,”** at the Livonia Fine Arts Gallery. Running from August 1-30, 2024, this exhibition featured 60 of my artworks, each reflecting themes that have inspired my journey as an artist. This show has been a significant moment in my career, and I am grateful for the warm reception it has received.
In addition to my solo show, I am pleased to have participated in several esteemed group exhibitions this month:
BSWPS Show at BBAC- I am proud to have one of my mixed media paintings featured in the group show of Birmingham Society of Women Painters at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center. This mixed media artwork called ‘MEMORIES’ was juried in the exhibition.
Dreamscapes: An Online Group Exhibition
My work is included in the “Dreamscapes” online exhibition, which gathers artists who delve into the surreal and imaginative realms. It’s been a joy to contribute to this unique collection. The work accepted here is actually titled, ‘Dreamscape’ also. It was part of my solo show also and I just love the colors in it.
For Detroit Artists Market, in partnership with the College for Creative Studies, I am participating in the **“Nest: A Reflection of Safe Spaces”** exhibition. This show explores the theme of safe spaces, a concept close to my heart and integral to my work.
At Grosse Point Art Association
My painting, **“Music Party,”** is currently on display in the Black and White-themed show at the Grosse Point Art Association, running through August and September 2024. This piece reflects the rhythmic energy and vibrancy of music, captured in a monochromatic scheme.
August has been a month of artistic expression, community engagement, and professional growth. Each of these exhibitions has provided a platform to share my vision and connect with others who appreciate the transformative power of art.
Thank you for your continued support and interest in my work. Please let me know if you want to see any additional new artworks in person and share this with any interested friends. I look forward to sharing more art and experiences with you in the months to come. And wish you all a very happy Labour Day.
Warm regards,
Vasu
