Dear Friends,
As a mother and grandmother myself, I know how incredible the journey of motherhood can be. All the joys, ups and downs of raising identical twin sons has enriched my life, taught me a lot. These learning experiences of motherhood have made me what I am today. I would not change this for anything in the world because it is priceless and precious. I have saved the Mother’s day gifts they made for me since they were in pre-school. Here’s the first bouquet of flowers they made for me at three years of age. These are inverted Gerber food jars filled with dried flowers. I have them in my vanity cabinet where I can see them daily.
The gifts are not what our day is about, it is the thought of their caring which is precious. And most often, the gift is the symbol of their love. Occasionally, it is best to indulge oneself with a gift that brightens one’s mind, heart or home.
Having said that, I want to share a drawing of my own mother with you today. It is going to be twenty-five years now that she is gone, but is with me everyday, I still talk to her for advice and validation of my actions if ever in doubt.
