My favorite season is beginning to unfold as hints of the bright colors of nature sneak their way back into our world! Speaking of spring, some of my new works are in the bright colors, as if the nature is looking back at us and inviting us to rejoice in her revival. To start this celebration, I started making works with vivid colors and ‘eyes’ looking back from the painting. Here are two from this series. Both are 11x14” sized paintings made with acrylic on paper.

I am also part of several online exhibitions this month at JMane gallery, Camelback Gallery and Gallery 4%. I won the Silver award at the Abstracts with Red 2024 theme exhibit at Camelback Gallery and a Distinguished Award. For the animals exhibit at Gallery 4% in March. I am also pert of an invitational online exhibition on ‘Healing Power of Color’ next month from Manhattan Arts International.
My travels in March took me to Los Angeles to see my children and grandchildren. It was stressful with several grandchildren being sick. The most harrowing part happened when the little 16 months old grandson was hospitalized with pneumonia and high fever. It is kind of disturbing to be on the sidelines when you have the title of ‘ Grandmother’, because post-covid, the visiting policies in hospitals have drastically changed. You have to forget about being a physician. I’m happy to report complete resolution and restoration of normalcy for the littlest munchkin of my lot.
Last but not the least, I’ll be having a 25% sale on many small artworks in mid-April to May. While you can see them on my website www.vasutolia.art when it starts, there are many other things on the website that are perfect to liven up small or big spaces at home or work. Small artworks make great gifts for many or all occasions.
If you are looking for art with a particular feel or color scheme, I am happy to work with you to create that perfect piece. To start that conversation email me at artistvtolia@gmail.com.
Thank you for subscribing. If you know of someone who might enjoy my work and latest news, please feel free to share this newsletter or send them my way!
